Final Fantasy X also received great reviews from the media and critics in North America. IGN rated the game 9.5/10, praising the games voice actors and innovation in gameplay. IGN also stated that it was the most visually appealing Final Fantasy game to date and that every possible visual aspect of the game was much improved over previous installments. Gamespot rated the game a similar 9.3/10.GameSpot praised the game's storyline, calling it surprisingly complex, its ending satisfying, and its avoidance of role-playing game clichés commendable. Gamespot also praised the music, feeling it was "diverse and well suited to the various scenes in the game".

Final Fantasy X-2 follows the story of Yuna after the events of Final Fantasy X as she finds a videosphere of Tidus who had disappeared at the end of Final Fantasy X.
In September of 2011, it was announced by Square-Enix that a high-definition version of Final Fantasy X would be released for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. There is no release date for the remake as of the time this was written.
