Hi, my name is Nicolas Tse. I am currently a student at the University of Ottawa in the Telfer School of Management. I am in my first year of studies in a Bachelor of Commerce program with a specialization in accounting. At the university, I am a member of the Gee Gees badminton team that represents the school in tournaments in both Ontario and Quebec. I chose to create this wiki on the first Final Fantasy game for the PlayStation 2 because it is one of my favorite games that I have ever played.

Final Fantasy X - The first installment in the Final Fantasy series to hit the PlayStation 2



Final Fantasy X was first released on July 19th in Japan, December 20th 2001 in North America, May 24th 2002 in Europe and May 17th 2002 in Australia. The game was developed and published by Squaresoft (now Square Enix). Final Fantasy X is the first of the Final Fantasy franchise to have a completely three dimensional background and is also the first in the series to incorporate voice acting for the characters.

The development of Final Fantasy X begin in 1999 with a budget of around 32.3 million dollars (USD).

The game has sold more than 6.6 million copies around the world since its initial release date.

Final Fantasy X is the first in the Final Fantasy series to have a direct sequel; Final Fantasy X-2.
